Anndel Lee Jollie and Avelleen Kate Albin are musicians, educators, and the couple behind Heaven's Gale Studios. With backgrounds in music education, performance, arranging, and ministry, they share a common love for creating music and helping others grow through it.
Though their journeys have taken them along different paths, music and faith have always remained at the heart of what they do. Anndel's work in arranging, orchestration, conducting, and instrumental education complements Avelleen's background in classical piano, music performance, and music education. Together, they hope to make Heaven's Gale Studios a place where their music, arrangements, educational work, and experiences can be shared with musicians near and far.
Partners in both life and music, Anndel and Avelleen continue to build Heaven's Gale Studios around their shared love for music, faith, education, and service.
Music has been a central part of my life from an early age. I, Anndel Lee Jollie, began with the piano, and over time that early interest developed into a broader pursuit of musicianship, education, arranging, and conducting.
My formative years at Sabah Adventist Secondary School provided many opportunities to participate in music and helped shape my understanding of it as more than performance. Music can be both a discipline and a means of communication—one that brings together creativity, knowledge, expression, and service.
I later pursued a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), majoring in Piano with Voice as my minor. My studies expanded my interests into arranging, composition, orchestration, conducting, accompaniment, and music education.
Today, I teach Music at Ekamai International School in Bangkok, working with students in keyboard, band, and instrumental music. I also continue my work as an arranger and conductor through Heaven's Gale Studios and Bangkok International Church, with opportunities to present my musicianship and arranging work in settings including Prince Mahidol Hall.
For me, musicianship is an ongoing process rather than a finished achievement. Teaching, performing, arranging, and conducting continually inform one another, and each provides a different way of understanding the same art.
My journey has taken me from Sabah to the Philippines and Thailand, but the principle behind it has remained consistent: music is something to study, create, teach, and share.
I grew up in Malaysia in a home where music was always present. One of my earliest and most important musical influences was my mother, Kathleen Nelver K. Sikul, whose encouragement helped shape my relationship with music. Over time, the piano became not simply an instrument to play, but a means of learning, discipline, expression, and personal development.
My musical foundation continued at Sekolah Menengah Advent Goshen before leading me to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, majoring in Classical Piano. Under the guidance of lecturers and mentors including Dr. Chai Tse Wei and Prof. Madya Dr. Chong Yew Yoong, I developed a deeper understanding of musicianship, performance, and the discipline required of a professional musician.
As my experience grew, so did my interest in education. Teaching at Irama Darling allowed me to understand that music education is not simply about transferring knowledge; it requires listening, adapting, and recognizing that every student develops differently. This interest eventually led me to pursue a Master’s in Music Education at UiTM, which I completed in 2025.
After returning to Sabah in December 2025, I joined SRA Goshen as a Year 4 class teacher in January 2026, teaching Bible, Mathematics, and Music. Moving into broader classroom education has expanded my perspective on teaching while allowing music to remain an important part of my work.
Faith, education, and service continue to shape the direction of my life. Whether through music, teaching, church, or community, I believe education is ultimately about helping people discover what they are capable of becoming.
My journey from Sabah to classical piano performance, music education, and back to the classroom continues to remind me that learning is never truly completed. Each stage gives us something to understand, something to contribute, and something new to carry forward.
